Raised in a Marwari family, Dipali attended Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School, where her disciplined nature and values were nurtured, which would later define her career. At 18, she married Balkrishan Goenka, co-founder of Welspun Group, and moved to Mumbai, starting a new chapter in her life. While dedicating herself to her family, she always aspired to do more. Driven by an innate curiosity, and the desire to set an example for her young daughters, Radhika and Vanshika, Dipali pursued a degree in psychology and completed the prestigious Owner/President Management program at Harvard Business School, preparing to take on the challenges of the corporate world.

In 2002, Dipali stepped into the world of business, a decision that would change the future of Welspun. Encouraged by her husband, Balkrishan Goenka, who made it clear there would be no privileges or shortcuts, only the opportunity to build something truly her own, Dipali brought a fresh perspective shaped by her personal experiences and insights as a homemaker. In 2003, her innovative approach led to the launch of 'SPACES,' a premium bed and bath brand that resonated with modern consumers. Her leadership not only brought Welspun closer to its audience but also solidified its position as an industry leader.

Her journey was not without challenges. Dipali led the company through turbulent waters, building trust and implementing industry-leading quality standards. Her resilience in the face of adversity reinforced her reputation as a leader who thrives under pressure.

Under her guidance, Welspun expanded its global footprint, acquiring the iconic UK-based Christy brand and venturing into sustainable innovations. Her vision is not limited to profits; she is a champion of initiatives that empower women, ensuring representation at every level of the organization. Dipali’s unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for women has earned her the title of a “CEO with a soul.”

Her accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. Forbes named her among Asia's 50 Power Businesswomen in 2016, and Business Today recognized her as one of the Most Powerful Women in Business in 2021.
